Why do I need to enter a passcode every time I log in?

This is for extra security to ensure it is you that is logging into your account. It’s what we call 2-factor authentication, where you need to enter two pieces of information to prove it’s you - something you know (your password) and something you have (the one-time passcode we send to your phone).
